A Namesake
& A Story
As a property name, “Anson” completes a namesake tribute begun by Burlingame itself. Born 200 years ago, in November of 1820, Anson Burlingame is remembered – and perhaps most famous – for his diplomatic career and his staunch opposition to slavery. While our city bears the man’s surname, we felt drawn to his given name as a titular acknowledgment of his achievements and as a discernible link to our city.
